how to delete your account
in the app
open ooni, go to settings → account → delete account, and confirm. that's it.
without the app
email privacy@ooni.education with the subject "delete my account", from the email address registered to your ooni account.
we use the sending address to verify it's really you. if you no longer have access to that address, mention it in your email and we'll verify another way.
what gets deleted
- your account and login
- your profile and preferences
- your videos and photos
- your chat history
- your verification documents, if any are still held
what we keep, and for how long
- payment and payout records — up to 6 years, required by spanish commercial and tax law
- records needed for safety, dispute resolution or fraud prevention — up to 12 months
how long it takes
your profile and content disappear from the app as soon as you confirm. full deletion completes within 30 days. it's permanent — deleted accounts can't be restored. if you have a pending payout or booking, we'll tell you what needs to be resolved first.
